Spiritual Empowerment of Junior Youth

In the Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program, groups of junior youth (ages 11–14) learn about themselves and their world, socialize in a safe and encouraging atmosphere, have meaningful conversations, develop spiritual perception, and engage in social action and community service. The program empowers junior youth to improve their powers of expression, strengthen their moral frameworks, make healthy life decisions, stand for justice, and promote the interests of their communities.

A combination of specially prepared study materials, games, creative activities, and community service activities makes up the foundation of the program, but each group develops its own dynamic and unique character and enriches its neighbourhood’s life.

The program is inspired by Bahá’í teachings but does not necessarily focus on Bahá’í texts. Young adults and adults serve as facilitators, leaders, and mentors for the junior youth in these groups.
